Periodontics
Gum and periodontal health — from prevention to the treatment of periodontal disease.

What is it?
Periodontics deals with the health of the gums and the periodontal tissues that support the teeth — from prevention (professional oral hygiene treatment) to the treatment of periodontal disease (periodontitis), including surgical treatment where needed.
Who is it for?
Recommended for anyone experiencing bleeding gums, gum recession, loose teeth, or symptoms suggesting periodontal disease, or where a routine screening indicates it.
How does it work?
Treatment begins with an assessment of the periodontal tissues (periodontal pocket-depth measurement/probing). In milder cases, professional tartar removal and personalised oral hygiene coaching (the iTOP approach) may be sufficient; in more extensive cases, curettage or targeted surgical treatment may follow.
What to expect afterwards?
After treatment for periodontal disease, we follow the state of the periodontal tissues with a regular recall system, so that any renewed inflammation is caught early — the frequency of check-ups varies from case to case.
